EPA registers Atticus flumioxazin products

CARY, NC (April 1, 2015) – Atticus has received federal registration from the Environmental Protection Agency for its new flumioxazin products.

Atticus products containing flumioxazin include: Zaltus™, Semera™, and Schooner™.

  • Semera 51.0% WDG Herbicide offers excellent pre-emerge residual weed control in turf, golf turf, container and field grown ornamentals, non-bearing fruit and nut trees and vines. When tank mixed with glyphosate, Semera enhances knockdown, even on glyphosate-resistant weeds.
  • Schooner™ delivers fast, selective control of invasive aquatic plants such as cabomba, watermeal, Eurasian watermilfoil, water lettuce, duckweed, and giant salvinia. It dissipates quickly in the water column and does not accumulate in sediment.
  • Zaltus™ keeps bareground areas weed free with season-long control of more than 100 tough weeds. It has a flexible application window, and low use rates make it easy to store.

“Schooner, Semera and Zaltus are valuable weed-control tools that work quickly to control tough weeds with a unique mode of action,” said Randy Canady, Atticus President and CEO. “We’re pleased to give our customers alternative access to flumioxazin products.”
